About Ricky

I am a dedicated real estate investor with experience in rental properties, having had a property portfolio in Austin and Dallas—two markets known for their fast value appreciation. My passion for real estate started with an interest in browsing listings online and driving around town to explore different properties. Eventually, I leveraged my real estate license for my own transactions and later expanded my expertise to help friends, realizing I had a natural talent for it. Now, I use that same skill to help others navigate the market.

 

Born in Laredo and bilingual in English and Spanish, I graduated from JW Nixon High School at 17 and pursued a BS in Economics at Texas A&M University in College Station. My love for travel led me to backpack across Europe before relocating to Dallas. Later, I moved to Austin to pursue teaching, earning an M.Ed. from Concordia University. My journey also took me to Mexico, where I lived and taught 1st and 3rd grades using an English-language curriculum at an American school before returning to Dallas.

 

As a former special education teacher with strong social and emotional intelligence, I am able to satisfactorily engage with people of all personalities and backgrounds. I am a dedicated and knowledgeable professional with a passion for research and lifelong learning. My persistence and diligence drive me to seek out new knowledge, analyze complex topics, and approach challenges with a keen, observant eye.

Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I find balance through meditation, hiking, traveling, and camping—embracing nature as a source of inspiration and renewal. A true foodie, I enjoy exploring diverse cuisines and cultures, blending my love for science and history into my experiences. Patient and caring by nature, I thrive in both analytical and compassionate roles, always striving to understand and uplift those around me.
